Wintergarden Smog & Tune

Over 25 years ago Mike Cagle started into the auto business at a Shell service station. Working with his father, he spent the next 15 years honing the automotive skills necessary to open Wintergardens Smog and Tune. Ten years later Wintergardens Smog and Tune is one of the top auto repair shops in the San Diego, East County area. In 2008, Mike moved his shop from its home of 10 years on the corner of Wintergardens Blvd. and Pepper Dr, in El Cajon, down the road about a mile to the former home of Ez- Earls Auto repair in Lakeside. At this new location, Mike has expanded his ability to work on more cars and provide better service than any other place in town.

Early on Mike adopted the use of a forty-two point inspection sheet to be completed with each and every service, even oil changes. This allowed each customer to be promptly informed of any repairs that would be needed in the future, or be made aware of any serious issues that would need immediate attention. Most places at that time, and even now did not include this service with a simple oil change. Doing this helps keep customers on top of their cars needs, allowing them to take care of things before they become serious. This is what has set Mike and Wintergardens Smog and Tune apart from the rest.

With Mike and all his mechanics being fully ASE certified, Wintergardens Smog and Tune has outlasted much of the competition due to the expertise of the technicians and the quality of work given to the customer. All mechanics stay up to date with the newest in auto repair from the constant training and update courses they take every year. With two certified smog repair technicians on top of everything else, Wintergardens Smog and Tune has continued to lead the competition in smog checks and smog repairs.
