"I dropped off my truck to Sterling automotive after having a conversation with one of the store reps. They told me labor per hour was $140 which I thought was fine I mean everybody's gotta eat and pay bills that wasn't to bad for getting under a vehicle and installing my running boards and bed extender as well as a soft trifold tonneau cover. The following day after said conversation I dropped the items and truck off and was told they were going to begin working on it shortly. Next I went home and called back in around 2 hours later to check on the progress, I was told the tonneau cover was installed and they were working on the bed extender and also that the running boards would not go on which I understood if I was sent the wrong boards nothing can be done. I headed into the shop after that conversation which took me about 20 mins to get there I then asked the front desk associate if I can go check on the progress of my truck which she said was fine. When I went into the work area I seen my tonneau cover installed which was fine, also I noticed that "working on installing my bed extender " was code for its out of the box and sitting there with no actual progress except removing the tape from the box which it came in. I stood there for fifteen minutes waiting for one of the two employees working on someone else's vehicle to respond to me so I could actually ask a question. I then went to the front desk and asked why has the only thing thats been installed is a topper that takes 20-30 mins tops in a period where I was going to be charged for 2 hours and 3/4 of a hour which would amount to $385 when the work they were performing was on another vehicle which was NOT MINE. In the end I told them put my items back in the truck and for a total on the install of the tonneau cover to which the woman at the front desk was shocked and looked as if she had no idea what was going on. After the main technician who was "working" on my truck told her to charge me a $100 bucks to get me out the door. Basically what I'm getting at is if you would like to be robbed blindly and have your vehicle sit there for hours @ $140 per hour this is DEFINITELY THE PLACE FOR YOU. If not check on your vehicles I'm sure I would have been charged for 4-5 hours and given a story of why it took alot longer than expected for install had I not stopped in to check on my truck. STERLING AUTOMIVE REPAIR IS A place where you go to donate your money while they work on your local neighbors vehicles."
