Meineke Car Care Center 2605

"I called 5 different automotive shops in the Austin area to get quotes on replacing a starter in a 2013 Honda Accord ( 4 cylinder). Quotes ranged from 395.00- 753.00. Meineke was the 395.00 quote. Ashley, who took my call was very professional and asked another employee for the quote. At no way am I upset with Ashley. Again, she was professional and asked a service tech for the quote. However, once I arrived, I was told the quote was incorrect and the price would be 622.89. The service tech that gave me the new price could tell I was shocked it changed, especially that much. He did offer some additional discounts, but that took it to the 622.89. Both the service tech and Ashley informed me that Alex was the service tech that quoted it when I Initially called, but wasn't there when I arrived and received the NEW quote. Again, not upset with Ashley or the service tech when I arrived . They were professional and tried doing the best to resolve the situation. I'm more upset I wasted my time getting quotes all morning, drove 30 minutes out of my way to find out my quote nearly doubled! I still had them do a diagnostics check and paid for that service. With that said, I am not going back. I was able to find a well know shop that has high ratings that is willing to do it for 399.00."

"Not very happy with my experience at Meineke. I came in at 7:25 this morning reading online and their website that it opened at 7:30. Sat here until about 7:45 before someone even showed up to open the shop. I tell the technician that I just want an oil change and I don't want them checking my car. I have come from places in the past that come up with all these lies that I need new battery's and etc and that why I don't want anyone checking my car. He then tells me I have to have him check my car. Then he comes back telling me that I need a power steering flush and break fluid flush. I just bought this car 7 months ago. So I went to a second shop to go have them checked it out and they told me that my fluids were clean and that they have no idea why they told me that. They are liars do not go to this place and believe anything they say."

"They made a price match with a Groupon for oil change, wheel rotation and wheel balancing. but they just changed the oil and everything, when I asked about wheel balancing and rotation, they said that I didn’t need (But I didn’t ask them whether I needed it or not, I paid for it. They changed oil 2 hours("

"When i buy a used car, the dealer gave me a coupon for 5 free oil changes. I called the place for an appointment and asked how much extras i have to pay. The guy said the coupon is valid for regular oil and i ve to pay extra for synthetic and disposal fees. When i come, they charge me $70 for the oil change and give me only $25 credit fie the coupon..Rip off."
