Lamb’s Tire & Automotive was founded more than 30 years ago, when we opened the doors of our very first store on Ben White Boulevard in 1987. Much like our home city of Austin, Lamb’s has grown quite a bit since that time and we are proud to offer our customers top-quality service at any of our convenient neighborhood locations throughout the greater Austin area.

"These people are awesome. I normally deal with Gilbert the service writer. He is vary polite, knowledge and makes you feel right at home. They don’t over charge or sell you parts and service that aren’t necessary. Their goal is to keep your vehicle operating as safely and efficiently as possible with the lowest cost to you. The technicians are professional and honest. I accidentally left $200 cash in my vehicle while it was at this location and it was waiting for me when I picked it up 2 days later. They won’t even touch the change in your cup holder. For me, this is unheard of behavior for a mechanic shop. Im glad I found a shop I can trust. Definitely recommend!"
"Good service and knowledge, but we disagree about the meaning of the word "appointment". Because I am perpetually short on time and really needed an oil change this week, I called on monday and made a 1pm appointment for wednesday -- a day that was "wide open," according to the well-mannered technician I scheduled with. What i expected: to bring in my car at 1pm, have it worked on at 1pm, and be out of there at 2pm on the outside. What i got: I arrived at 12:45pm, and left at 3:45pm. Upon arrival I was told it would be 30-45 minutes before a bay and accompanying mechanics would even be open to look at it. During my wait, walk-in and drop-off customers arrived and essentially got put in the same queue i was in. When I make an appointment, I understand that to be a contract which means "I will bring my car to your shop -- and you will have a bay and technicians to service it -- at the mutually agreed-upon time." This is why I ask for a list of times that are available and choose one; that's the whole point, in fact, of scheduling service in the first place: to avoid a multi-hour wait for a half hour's service. At very worst, if there IS a queue to wait in, I'd expect people who scheduled service to have priority (spoiler alert: I did not.) What's the point of bothering to schedule something if I end up no better than an walk-in? -Does- one actually schedule service here, or is it a best-hope, looks-good, should-be-fine-but-you-never-know kind of deal? Once my car was serviced, things were characteristically great (they usually are, regarding technical skill and communication at this location). It's just I'm not sure if I'm coming back, as I take the time to schedule things _for a reason_ and I expect schedule agreements like that to be honored... or, at very worst, expectations better set. I have to give it a 3/5, because once your car is serviced, things are great. I literally have no complaints about the people or technical experience or pricing, these are all top notch."
"I've used this shop's services a few times and they take the time and effort to make sure the customer understands what's being done and that they aren't being overcharged. They don't push extra services on you and treat you with respect and courtesy. They've done good work on my Honda and I'll continue coming back."
