Bonded Transmission & Auto Repair was founded by Melvin Hines in 1961. He passed it on to his sons Mike and Steven and it has been in the family ever since. "I received multiple quotes which were all in a narrow range, so that was reassuring. I chose Boned Transmissions based on proximity, availability and high ratings (in number and content). Bob and Dave work in the office which is very clean.They installed the headlamp assembly that I had purchased online. They replaced the headlamps, and eliminated an obnoxious growling- sounding noice that and my previous go-to guy had failed to diagnose. Twice. Bonded Transmissions made no unnecessary repairs or attempts to up-sell. Nice to drive away without a feeling of being taken. Thank you. This was my first time using OpenBay. "I was a happy customer till I had a second opinion. I believe none of these auto repair guys are honest and ready to take advantage of your ignorance. So the least thing you can do is to get a second opinion before getting the job done. Based on positive google reviews I went to them to get a fix for a fender bender that had broken my front bumper and broken the AC line from compressor to the condenser. It was clear to them what needs to be fixed including the AC line. Few weeks after the fix (in winters) and as the summer arrived i started the AC but it did not work. I brought it back to these guys and they diagnosed the most expensive fix to the AC (change of compressor -$965) because according to them they thoroughly checked the system and the compressor is the one which is leaking. I was almost going to tell them to get it done since on google the average price to fix the compressor came out exactly $965. ..reasonable right? Somehow I changed my mind and decided to get a second opinion. The other guy instantly found out that these guys did not fix the broken AC line in the first place. He fixed the AC line and the car has been running great since then. I am not saying go to the other guy...just get a second opinion. Saying that, I won't even get a second form Bonded Transmission. They lost all my trust. I let them do my brakes as well....now I am terrified."
"Robert continues to work well with extended warranty getting me more bang for my buck on many level. Constantly exceeding my dealership experiences, and or all past mechanic experience via my life time. They are human people, but warranty their work for 3 years. If they drop the ball pass it back and get a slam donk free service fixes. If you been throw hell and have trust issues Robert will give you everything in writing even full conversations via email. Strong clean zero shades of gray feeling. Quite a blessing!"

"I had the worst experience here. I visited Bonded Transmission on 02/28/18 for the 2nd time. This time I met with Service Manager Bob and he told me my vehicle would need a part that would need to be orderred. I was suppose to travel the following day (03/01/18). However, I decided to stay an extra day because the service advisor "Bob" told me that the part for my vehicle will be in on Thursday. He later on tells me over the phone that the part won't be here until Friday 12pm!! I told him that it's crucial for me to leave on Friday by 3pm at the latest. I asked him that I need a guarantee from him that if I delay my travel an extra day that the part will be there by 12pm and he said "Yes, don't worry it will be here". I had an extremely important event to get to but I didn't make it because "Bob" lied to my face. Bob is not only a liar but an extremely rude person who does not know how to talk to customers. My first visit here I dealth with Dave and spent over 600 dollars on routine maintenance stuff. Now I will never come back. Family owned service shop! What a joke?! Bob wanted to kick me out and told me "DO NOT DOCK AT MY DOOR". "NEXT TIME GO SOMEWHERE ELSE". "YOU ARE STARTING TO AGITATE ME AND NOW IF YOU KEEP REPEATING YOURSELF THEN I DON'T WANT YOU AS A CUSTOMER". He completely took advantage of talking to me like that because it was late Friday. I couldn't get a rental, couldn't go somewhere else and had to travel to Maine in the storm happening on 03/02/18. They lost a customer and they will lose many more because this is how they treat there customers. It is a shame. Next time I will pay a little more money and get the respect and appreciation that I deserve as a customer. I guess when you choose a dealer alternate this is what you get... THE BEST PART IS THAT THEY COULDN'T EVEN FIX THE PROBLEM AFTER MAKING ME WAIT 3 DAYS!"
