Warranties are honored Nationwide at all AAMCO centers
Rebuilt Transmission (most vehicles): NOTE: Cars, trucks & vans with a manufacturer's rated capacity of one ton and under receive a 36/50 (US) or 36/80 (Canada) warranty. EXCEPTIONS: vehicles with manual transmissions, vehicles over one ton, RV's, police/fire/emergency vehicles, vehicles used as/for rentals, taxis, limousine, snow plowing, commercial towing or "high rail" applications (modified for use on RR tracks). These exception type vehicles receive a 12/12 (US) or 12/20 (Canada) warranty. You can identify the carrying capacity by the VIN. On domestic vehicles, the vehicle is eligible for the 36/50 (US) or 36/80 (Canada) warranty if the 6th digit of the VIN is 3 or less.

"Last time l visited AAMCO 15 + years ago I told My Self never to go back. Bad results and Experience.
Well I Tried it again and found how rewarding my end results are.
The certified transmission mechanics were on point and Proffesionals in repairing my 95 Explorer Transmission.

"ONE WORD: HORRIBLE
Business owner will screw you, he did it to me. Bought a "Certified" used transmission at this place with a 12K Mile/12 Month warranty, 11K miles/13 months later it died.
Called the place and the owner (Brad) says, no warranty for you because it's one month over the warranty (13 months) even though is 1,000 miles before it expired. You would think a business like this would purchase transmissions from a reputable place, but not the case here. The honorable thing to do, in my opinion, was for the owner to go back to his vendor and pushed back about honoring the warranty. He has to have enough purchasing power to be able to press his vendor into not screwing his customer, but clearly he does not care about his customers, he did care when I paid him $2,800 for that POS transmission.
You ask any other honorable car repair shop and they would tell you in cases like this they are flexible and would honor warranties when so close to expiration dates. Or at the very least, credit some $ back to his customer, after all, it was only one month pass the expiration and the miles were still covered by the warranty.
I lost over $3,000 on this deal, so I warn other potential customers not to take a chance on this place, not worth it"

"Bad experience by taking my vehicle there and getting an estimate to rebuild the trans with quote. After a week waiting for car to be repaired, at pick up my quote was $1200 more than expected. The trans was also louder than the original. After complaining nothing was really settled. Be careful when taking your vehicle there, trust is a major factor for me when it comes to doing business with a mechanic."
