Warranties are honored Nationwide at all AAMCO centers
Rebuilt Transmission (most vehicles): NOTE: Cars, trucks & vans with a manufacturer's rated capacity of one ton and under receive a 36/50 (US) or 36/80 (Canada) warranty. EXCEPTIONS: vehicles with manual transmissions, vehicles over one ton, RV's, police/fire/emergency vehicles, vehicles used as/for rentals, taxis, limousine, snow plowing, commercial towing or "high rail" applications (modified for use on RR tracks). These exception type vehicles receive a 12/12 (US) or 12/20 (Canada) warranty. You can identify the carrying capacity by the VIN. On domestic vehicles, the vehicle is eligible for the 36/50 (US) or 36/80 (Canada) warranty if the 6th digit of the VIN is 3 or less.

"If I could rate no stars, I would! Rip off. Paid $108 for nothing. Brought in to have check engine light diagnosed. They did nothing to diagnose... Suggest to "try" a couple of things and wanted to charge an insane amount of money for an oil change and battery. We are leaving to go to another shop that might be able to do what we initially brought the vehicle here to have fixed. It's sad that the guy behind the counter will say "we didn't do anything" and still expect to charge for "nothing".

"Our daughter is a student at Tech and her transmission went out in her Cobalt. So we sent her to AAMCO, since they are nationwide and have a great reputation. Our experience so far has been anything but great. They have had the car for 10 days and it is still not done. Everyday there is another excuse why they did not get the work done. Called our local AAMCO and they said this is taking way too long even if they are crazy busy. Also said they are charging a few hundred dollars more than he would--and they told us that was a discounted price because she is a Tech student. We are hoping the work done is better than the timeliness of this shop! Will write another review if work is unsatisfactory. Note: Daughter was to leave today to come home for a week before school starts up again and is stuck in Lubbock till Wednesday. Very frustrated mom here!"
