"I was overdue for some scheduled maintenance so I thought I’d have these guys check out the vehicle a bit more for me and called in advance of my appointment to make sure this could be done. Since I planned to wait, we agreed that I would bring the vehicle in earlier than the scheduled time because of the likelihood that any additional work would take considerable time.
The morning of the appointment, I was running a bit late. I called to let them know that I’d be there about 20 minutes later than the previously agreed upon early arrival. The guy on the phone knew nothing of this earlier arrival time that I had planned with someone on the phone there when I called. He informed me that the original appointment time was the only option…so I was suddenly relieved about what I thought was going to be my late arrival.
When I got there, I reviewed the other items I was concerned about with the vehicle. I got the vibe right away that none of the work that might need to be done could be done that day based on the response I was getting. Sure enough, they made me an itemize list of a few things but could not do any of the work that day.
No problem. Do you have any Saturday openings?
Not for that kind of work.
So now I’m stuck looking for a different shop. I was feeling pretty good about just getting everything done here but the miscommunication on my earlier arrival time and my maintenance needs left me thinking that I don’t want any more surprises or disappointments.
From what I can tell, shops use the Openbay platform to do minor maintenance at a low profit or maybe even a loss so that they can gain more profitable, long term customers. That chance was lost here!"

"Beware, he offers discounts for reviews, but only after he sees them.
I've been going here for a few years for oil changes. They are very low pressure about additional repair work, but always have a recommendation. Cheap prices for all work. Waiting room is comfortable but probably best to drop your car off as it generally takes at least an hour for an oil change on the weekend.
After I switched to a new mechanic, I found that the oil pan drain plug had been stripped and glued in place with sealant during one of their "cheap" oil changes.
