"Another (auto service center- steamboat springs) horrible experience with Lyft, Open Bay, and their business model, choice of incompetent and shady mechanic shops. Only came to this place on recommendation of Lyft and Open Bay. Usually whenever I bring my vehicle to a garage for preventative maintenance or repair, I trust the advice and proceed accordingly with service. However my (and i might guess that there are others, general public and Uber/Lyft drivers, relying on a decent, reliable running vehicle for their livelihood; unfortunately falling victim to these predatory parties (i.e. Max's, ASC, tip of the spear - backed by big dogs Open Bay, Lyft, etc..... My experience, as follows-- after initial multi point inspection, motherfu*+ers come back at you, when all you wanted was an oil change and pass inspection (do states even require that anymore!??!!) A massive laundry list of items, totaling more than the value of the car itself. A really horrible experience, helpless feeling, perpetuated, and perpetrated by these people just doing their jobs, maybe even some of them, trying to improve, and do a better job, sadly--- my recommendation Buyer Beware, Do not follow.... Is what i recommend to any and all pre-owned vehicle drivers. Horrendous Service, misleading sales practice, etc... however, thank you and God Bless."

"I was 2 minutes late for my appointment for an oil change. It took them a WHOLE HOUR to take my car back to the bay to begin working on it. I expect people to respect my time. I made an appointment for a reason.
When they were finished, they gave my car back to me without any sanitization done and no protective coverings on anything. They also gave me a list of things I needed done that included repairs I had just had done. Not a happy customer"

"I would recommend this place to anyone and have already recommended my son to use them. I had a Dealership look at my vehicle and they told me it would cost thousands more to fix the problem than what Max Auto was able to do it for. I feel like Max Auto is very honest and was able to correctly identify the vehicle issue I was having instead of trying to price gouge me on things like that Dealership was. Everything Max Auto said they would do got done with no hidden surprises. Overall I feel this shop has good standards and can be trusted."

"One time our xterra needed the rear end rebuilt. Nissan only sells entire rear axles. Matt noticed that it was the exact same axel that was used on another vehicle and that company sold the parts individually. He ordered the parts individually saving us a few thousand dollars in both parts and labor. Matt is extremely knowledgeable and has helped us many time to get the repairs we’ve needed for the best price. Chris is also outstanding to work with and has always delivered great work on our cars. I have been going to Max Auto for years and would recommend them to anyone. I can’t speak highly enough of this shop."
