Raben Tire - Cape Girardeau

"To be fair, in the past we've had good experiences with Raben Tire. However, at our last visit we discovered Raben Tire had temporarily lost our key. While searching for the key, a previous customer just happened to call to inform Raben that they had found a key in their car that wasn't theirs. We waited 20+ mins for this honest customer to return our key. As part of the standard oil change on this same visit, a checklist of items were assessed. We knew we had a headlight out and yet, on the checklist receipt we received, the "headlights" box was checked to indicate that all lights were working. They were not. We asked them to check the transmission fluid level (as part of the standard oil change procedure) because we knew that the fluid was a quart low. Yet the checklist receipt claimed that the fluid level was fine. They did not top off the transmission fluid as we requested, insisting that the fluid level was fine when we asked about it. We should have asked what the total cost would be before dropping off our car to be worked on (oversight on our part). However, when picking up the car we were surprised to find we were charged a substantial diagnosis fee because we had asked them to tell us where a bumping noise was coming from within our car. In the past we've never been charged a diagnosis fee because we've followed up with them to repair whatever the damage was. So we incorrectly assumed that there would be no diagnosis fee this time. The diagnosis was a broken transmission mount. Their price quote to replace the mount: $600. I ordered the part on eBay for $15 with free shipping and my dad helped me change the mount one afternoon. Though in the past we've been quite pleased, we were not too happy with our Raben Tire experience on this visit."

"They are a popular auto shop (especially near the end of the month for state inspections and on Mondays) but if we can help it we ONLY use their shop. Their front desk staff are friendly and honest."

"Oh My God!, Where do I begin? I visited Raben Tire on Independence in Cape Girardeau, Mo on Monday June 04, 2018. From the Store Mgr, Will to the Technicians (I can only remember David and Stephen's names). Sorry to the other gentleman, but I know your face. Ok, I had my factory wheels swapped to new aftermarket wheels and David took extraordinary care to make certain that he didn't damage my new wheels, that I had no problem having to spend a little extra to purchase new lug nuts. Long review short, I will advertise Raben Tire on Independence in Cape Girardeau, Mo., forever.....you guys ARE "THE BEST" in town. Thanks sooooo much for making my visit there an utmost appreciative and memorable experience. I'll Be Back!!!! 😎🤗"

"I always take my vehicles to Raben in Cape and have for years. My parents always brought their cars to Raben as well. Anything from basic needs (tires and oil changes) to extensive mechanic work, Raben in Cape has you covered. Everyone is always friendly and helpful. Typically I drop my car off before work, they give me a ride to work, and they call me when my car is ready.....easy"
