"I have been using this gas station for approximately 10 years for gas and also inspection and emissions. In June of this year I went there and asked for the inspection to be done. The young gentleman explained that the mechanic was fasting due to his religion and would be back at 4.30 pm. I went back at 5pm only to be told that the mechanic would not be in. I didn't have a problem with this as I feel everyone is entitled to celebrate their beliefs and holidays. I went to a different gas station and had it done. Now it's august and I go back to Citgo to get my emissions done. The mechanic comes out and tells me that the car won't pass unless I replace the back brake pads😢 I will admit I know nothing about cars so said ok 👌 go ahead and replace them and I asked him to do an oil change while he had the car. He said the filters needed to be replaced😏And of course I said go ahead. The whole thing was going to take about 11/2 hours so the young guy working there dropped me home. I called my husband and was telling him about it when he said that "you were royally screwed". Anyways I go back to pick up the car and a bill of nearly $500.00😤. I looked at the itemized bill only to see he had also done an inspection even though sticker on windscreen said 6/18 . I explained to him that I asked for an emissions test and not a complete overhaul. I made him take of the inspection price and also $50.00 from the labor of brake pads. Gets better😛. Today I go online to renew my tags only to look at paperwork I received from the mechanic and it's not even the correct paper work. It's for a Subaru Forester and I drive a Honda Accord. Bottom line is Stay Away from having anything to do with this gas station. The young kid that approaches you is a set up and of course his English is not great 😜So adds on extra work and then the mechanic says "oh sorry " that's what I was asked to do. Bad Business and I am reporting them to the BBB."
