"STORY TIME. Before my road trip to my father's funeral, I wanted to get my brake pads and rotors replaced and had a pleasant experience here with my oil change, so I decided I would use them again. Hindsight is always 20/20, however, and I would come to severely regret my decision. I had the parts and only required labor. Initially, I had been quoted an hour or two, so I walked around the nearby shops. They were running behind and said it would likely be another hour or so, and I got lunch. I get back to Jiffy and they let me know my car was finished. I paid and left. My battery light came on when I tried shutting the car off at home and noticed they didn't replace the brake wear sensor because I had 2 and they were still in the box in my trunk. I called and inquired about getting the battery indication resolved and brought up the brake wear sensor. They said they would look at the battery but their tech likely didn't see the sensors and so did not replace it. I was still charged for this, though. I return to Jiffy and they rectified the battery warning light stating it was likely just in need of a charge and swapped the sensor. I thank them and leave. 2 days later my boyfriend and I want to go for a hike to do what we can to relax. About 20 minutes along our drive, I notice the sound I was assuming was the new brake pads and the new rotors getting worn in when it suddenly got much worse and then started the clunking. We pulled over to check out what the situation was. The caliper had come free of its mounting bracket and seized onto the rotor, subsequently beginning to tear away the inside of the rim as it spun. We called jiffy who got a tow for us back to the shop. Parts would take a couple days to show so I requested a rental that I may still get to work the next day. Jiffy obliged. However, after sending us to Dulles, (because, with it being Sunday, it was the nearest one open) where the enterprise rental car companies' computer system had been previously unaccepting of their billing info and so, unsurprisingly, continued to do so. Jiffy sent an employee out that was equipped with no way to assist and vanished during our search for a way to get home - without a rental. Not before trying to get me to pay for the rental, though. The next day, the enterprise next to jiffy was open so I accompanied the jiffy manager there after work. Enterprise was able to instruct jiffy on the program they were using to interact with the car rental company and solved their billing problem, which was, in fact, a training problem. I get a call yesterday from jiffy saying my car is done. My own legal council insisted that because their negligence led to my current situation, I should have them bring in another mechanic to verify the work was done correctly. I told jiffy that I wanted another mechanic to double check their work and they got back to me with "the regional manager said if you want to take it anywhere that's on you and you need to return the rental today or it's on you, too." After reminding jiffy that I'm dealing with everything needed to get to my father's funeral in addition to needing to be at work, I wouldn't be able to pick up my car until the next day and will bill them."
"The move to e-mailed receipts is a change that does not serve the customer as it eliminates the ability to keep the records with the car. Unless the customer prints the receipt to keep the records with the car Why not an option for the customer to choose how they desire the receipt. Explained the concern to the service rep with zero response as if I had not even voiced a concern Disappointing"
"Super fast and very efficient service even if you pull in at very last minute. So kind and welcome all veterans with service discounts. I'll never take my cars anywhere else. They cleaned all my windows/vacuumed everywhere and shined the tires removed any obvious trash and shined the dashboard as well thanks to the especially people that were there one from Detroit Michigan and the young man was Hispanic descent so kind and and welcoming. I highly recommend 👌 jiffy lube in Warrenton. Thanks again."
"Going on my third visit, all of them super copies of my original experience. This place operates like a well-oiled machine and continues to earn my business. I was greeted warmly and served right away. Various service options were explained, with no upsell pressure. Simple oil change came with lots of freebies, like topping off all my other fluids and vacuuming the interior. Even pledged to top off my oil when it gets low between changes (which it does often, given my truck’s age). Gladly accepted coupons and promised more to come by email. Out the door with a smile in about 15 min. Haven’t seen this level of service for quite a while. These guys are proud of their work and it shows. It will result in my repeat business. Bravo, team!"
