"Upon arrival, the manager tells me he doesn't do appointments, but can fit me in. He wasn't fully aware of the program procedures. I took the day off to get this done and schedule an early appointment so I can avoid the afternoon traffic. However, my appointment wasn't honored, nor the time frame provided to me which was 5 hours. These are the factors in which I chose to patronize Franconia Gulf. Despite being there since 0900, it was after 5 before my vehicle was finished! The manager was expecting to get paid via the code before my vehicle was even finished. I should have gotten a huge discount for the lack of customer service and the lack of time importance. If you're not concerned with timing or value your appointment, this is the place for you. As for me, appointments are used to plan out my day. This was a one and done. There won't be any return business."
"Be aware!!! Ripped off!!! Uncultured and Rude people!!! I went there with possible battery issue of my Prius 2008. I was told over the phone that the battery diagnose charge is $35. I left my car Saturday around 2pm. I was told that the Hybrid machanic was unavailable so only Monday they will be able to follow up. But no one called me so far. Anyway I called them back on Tuesday and found out that they ran a thorough diagnostic and the cost is now 99 dollar???. I went to that place to get my car and saw the diag report. It says that the transmission, electeic system, battery, etc are bad. It says all my dashboard lights are on and the repair price will be around 12,000 dollar!!! From my experience I immediately knew that the battery is down and that's why all dashboard lights were on. Wasn't it the battery I went there for at the first place? I had a reason to beleive that no diagnosed was done. Because at first they said thier hybrid tech was not there but they claimed that they called me on same day to tell me about my car problem. I think they tried to start the car and saw all the lights on and came up to conclusion that everything was wrong with my car. Funny thing was, as soon as I jump started my car with my portable power, the Car was on and all error lights were gone. So I asked the guy inside about my concern. I also mentioned about the pirce hike. He did not like it and started arguing with me. There was another lady employee started calling me Mean. At one point the guy used F word fornt of my child. I have no complain on RAY, who was not there. He seems to be very gentleman. It's the employees who were the culprit. Questin to Mr. Ray, no matter what, can your employee say F word? Dont Caustomers have any rights to express their concer? I will post this on facebook and discourage all my friends and family to avoid this place. Response to Owner: You guys are the one told me $35 dollar to check the 12 v battery only. Not me! You should have told me before you do the full diagnose for extra money. Besides, I am positive that no diagnose was done! As a custmer when I confronted you, out of nowhere that lady started calling me MEAN. Who started it? I was leaving... you came out of the store and said F word in front of my 9 years old child. I will NEVER forgive you."
"Worse place to do the inspection. Drove my car from parking lot (never had that done before), changed the seat position, and find a minor issue to fail you."
"The people at Franconia Gulf have provided amazingly good service to me and my wife for the past 5 years. Inspections, oil changes, brake service, bumper repaired , replaced oil pump, repaired power window, and replaced tires. They have done numerous other repairs that had to be done immediately. Without exception they have helped us on short notice and everything has always been done professionally and correctly. All of the personnel have been a joy to work with from the owners down to everyone in the shop. Their quick and dedicated service has saved me untold time and undoubtedly a significant amount of money. They have made many repairs that would have cost a lot more and taken a lot longer in other shops. Owners and staff are professional and personable. It is a pleasure to do business here. We recommend this business to people everyday. Everyone who has taken our advise and done business here have come back to thank us."
"The Franconia Gulf service station is nothing short of awesome. Today was about the fifth time they saved me a lot of money by fixing the right problem, drawing on a wealth of experience to avoid fixing things that may not really need to be fixed (check engine coded to cam advance system - they say often goes away with synthetic oil and worst case the fault triggers again). Unfortunately I get a frequent customer discount, but with other places I would have bought a couple of new cars by now!"
"I had problems turning corners and it made loud noises in the front-end of my 2000 C70 Volvo, so I had them look at it. They diagnosed the problem as bad bushings on the lower control arms. They replaced the lower control arms, and charged less than I expected, and much less than a Volvo dealer would have. The range for this repair is from $400-$1200, they were in the mid $400. It now drives like new!"
