"I will die TWICE before I go to First Choice Automotive again! I had a leaking fuel line in my car. I needed it fixed same day or the next at the latest, so I called them, told them the issue and asked if they could get to it that day. I was told “absolutely” so I had it towed there expecting to have my car repaired and back in my hands that day. Now, they close at 7 PM Eastern time. By 3:30 PM, I hadn’t heard anything from them so I called them. This is on Thursday, by the way. I was told that my car was the next one up and that they will call me shortly. I didn’t hear from them until the next day, and was told that they were trying to fix it without having to order another part and that they would call me ASAP. I finally heard back from them on Saturday, and was told that they had to order another fuel line and that it wouldn’t be until Wednesday before they could fix it. They told me that they charge $135/hr for labor and that they were looking at about 1-2 hours labor for the job. Steep price but what could I do? So, Wednesday rolls around and I’m told that it won’t be until the NEXT day, which is seven days after I originally took them my car. They called me on Thursday afternoon to tell me that my car is ready. I go to pick it up, and at first, I was told that the total cost was $800+. Of course, I bristled at the price and asked why so expensive. Then, he realized that he “read it wrong” and that they price was $655. Now, if you’re reading from your computer monitor, how could you “read it wrong” and give me the wrong price?? I reluctantly paid the $655 and went on my way, having already decided to never ever use them again. Ultimately, I paid almost $700 to have two fuel lines replaced/repaired a week later than I was told. This is the most overpriced, unpunctual auto shop I’ve ever used and I promise you that I will never EVER use them again, much less recommend them to anyone. If you’re considering going to First Choice Automotive, I recommend that you not. I’ve never been this unhappy with an auto shop."
"Repair# 1 - I've used First Choice for over a decade and over the past year the quality of repair and service has declined. My last visit was all new faces that I've never seen before, and I have 3 vehicles so I'm in there quite a bit, told them what was going on, in which they had on record the major repair I needed as they recommended it the last time I was there, but I also added a repair that was minor, but finally just wanted it fixed. I get the call the next day telling me my car was ready in which I asked if all the vibration was gone and they replied "Oh yeah everything is running smooth". I get there to pickup my car, pay for the repair, start my car and glaring back at me is the repair light on my cluster, which was the minor repair I requested be fixed. I look at the ticket and that repair isn't even on there so it never got looked at. To First Choice's defense they repaired it free of charge and I was good with that, but when you show up ready to take your car home and it's not done after they said it's done is frustrating. The biggest problem I have is with the major repair in the suspension. They said everything was smooth. It was not. The second I hit 70mph on the interstate the vibration is there just like before. $2500 spent and it's still there. Unreal. Repair# 2 - Just spent another $4700 in repairs on my daughter's car. The first diagnosis was dirty throttle body and the catalytic converter needed replacement. Spent $3000 for that then they call me and tell me it's ready so my wife picks the car up and drives it home. Immediately calls me saying the check engine light was still on and the car kept dying while at a stop. Seeing as I just paid them $3K I was pretty upset to say the least (the car is only worth about 2K) so I had it TOWED back the 1st Choice (which I got no reimbursement from them on that) as I did not feel comfortable driving it and let them have it back. The next day I get a call saying it's the timing chain that needs to be replaced now. This being a separate repair having nothing to do with the first, tacking on another $1700. My major disappointment was this not being diagnosed the first time (which I actually got charged for 2 diagnostics and it still wasn't diagnosed fully) and them sending my wife out of there with the car running as poorly as it did. When I got home I started the car and knew without even driving it that it wasn't even close to being fully repaired. It felt and sounded awful. When it's all said and done I've brought every vehicle I own to this place since 2010 religiously and it meant nothing. I've spent thousands on top of thousands and it meant nothing. They'll never see another vehicle of mine ever again unless it's something they've recently repaired still under warranty."
"Ryan was very friendly and personable. They provided a loaner car for me to get to work which was nice. My only complaint is the problem it was taken to them for was not fixed. They fixed other things. Guess it won’t be fixed anytime soon. Thanks anyway."
"I took my 2014 Honda CRV for an alignment. They found a few more things that needed replaced. I hope they didn't say it just cause I'm a female, but I feel like I got charged too much for the labor. I'm thankful they had a car that I could borrow while mine was getting fixed, but it was nasty inside. We'll probably be taking our vehicles somewhere else to get fixed &/or looked at."
"Was able to get an immediate appointment. Courteous, prompt service. Clean waiting room. Was for routine maintenance, and took about 1/3rd the time of the dealership."
