"This my Second time using openbay, First I want to say that sites like openbay, caradvise etc really offer a service that is needed in the auto mechanic business, they take the price haggling out of the equations by having shops bid for your business reassurance however, I do feel that Mechanic shops, treat openbay customers similar to Shops who use sites like Groupon for business awareness. My visit at AutoFix was great, the Service Manager where very welcoming, he shaked my hands and thanked me for coming. After the warm greeting we talked about the service I’ve schedule, We verified that my appointment was from OpenBay; There was a car similar to mines there, which opened the conversation to factory scheduled maintenance that should be looked at, he showed me a current Prius which was getting a new transmission, due to the customer not taking care of scheduled maintenance.The Conversation was reassuring and brief. Service rep took keys and directed me to the (lack of better words) customer/ Rep main counter area. I wrote down my name and car info on a piece of paper and took a seat. After 20 minutes the Service manager approached and discuss some future work that needs to be taken care of. This is where i obtain a familiar routine that shops seems to do when getting a customer from OpenBay. It's obvious that the price I paid was different from the price lets say, if you walked in, But the upselling is so overwhelming that I felt that I wanted to cancel the whole appointment and went somewhere else. I informed the Rep that I am aware of the recommended maintenance that needs to get done, but I can not afford to pay for it now. That's when I felt the service went to a different tone, he seems a bit upset or unsettled about me not going forward on performing the service that they recommended. I told him that I will get it done but i can't do it now due to my funds. He felt that I should get it done now. I think it's not the fact that I refuse to get it done the day of, but using obenbay to get a quote that might be cheaper than theirs. I’m not sure if there's any way around the extreme upselling but It's something that users have to get used to. Maybe obenbay could help us with the extreme upselling and divergent from using obenbay for future services. I will try to be more direct on my next obenbay visit, and ask the shop that I feel comfortable discussing any further or recommended repairs after my service is completed. "
"I've been here a few times for different reasons. The staff has always been polite and helpful. They have pointed out what's been wrong with my vehicle. They fix it for a fair price and it's actually fixed. My car drives better now than when I got it. They've also been help to me when compensation wasn't involved. Like giving me a jump or helping me solve an issue on my own. Great group of people."

"I had an exhaust leak on my Infiniti G35X. Had a day off and stopped at Advance Auto Group, fully expecting they would say they could not do it that day and make an appointment. I was pleasantly surprised when they said they could take care of it right away. They showed me where the connection between the exhaust pipe and catalytic converter was heavily rusted and corroded. They were able to save the catalytic converter and repair the connection with 3 hours of labor and $50 in parts. I was very pleased. If you have an automotive problem, I highly recommend you give Advance Auto Group a try."
