"My 2016 Equinox has 230,000 highway miles. It started running rough so I stopped at auto store and had the codes read. It had a code suggesting the cam position actuator was bad so I replaced it, not a big repair but no help the car still running rough. The next thought was the timing had gone out and possible rebuilding of the engine (ouch $$$). Thats when I talked to Robbie at Cottmans, he walked me thru what he could do if rebuilding it was needed. I dropped it off still thinking I was going to need a costly rebuild. Robbie and his team looked the engine over and found one of the cylinders was not firing due to a very bad spark plug. They did a compression test which was OK then replaced all the spark plugs and one ingnition coil and the car was running perfectly.
