DETAILS OF LIMITED WARRANTY
The automotive components described on the opposite side or attached to this invoice are warranted against defects in materials and workmanship, and,in the event of a malfunction, will be repaired or replaced without charge from the period of time or mileage noted on opposite side, whichever first occurs,upon the following terms and conditions.
1. This Warranty will be honored at this Center only. In the event, however, that you are more than 50 miles away from this center, or if this center closes, you may take the vehicle to the Cottman Center nearest you to request warranty authorization.
2. Vehicle must be brought to the Cottman Transmission Center by you, unless otherwise authorized. This warranty does not include Towing expenses, or other transportation costs that may be incurred.
3. Except as may be otherwise provided by state or federal law, warrantor assumes no responsibility for consequential damages, incidental expense (i.e. rental car expenses, loss of wages) resulting from any defect of malfunction.
4. Any unauthorized service, damage caused by mud, snow, accident, abuse or water damage caused by any component not part of the transmission or torque converter shall void the Warranty.
5. This Warranty shall not apply to commercial or rental vehicles or to vehicles modified beyond manufacturer’s standard production specifications.
6. The total liability under this warranty is limited to the cost of the original repair. This center reserves the right to refund to you the original price in lieu of warranty service to the vehicle.
Should your components malfunction while you are protected by this Limited Warranty, you must do the following:
1. Immediately contact this CENTER (regardless of your location).
2. If you notice any malfunction, do NOT operate the vehicle. Call this CENTER for instructions.
3. Do NOT permit any servicing or repairing of the components unless authorized by this CENTER. Any unauthorized service or repair voids this warranty.
4. If for some reason you are unable to resolve any problem with this CENTER, or if the center has closed, contact:

This Cottman Transmission is locally owned and operated and is responsible for all aspects of the written Limited Warranty. Customer Relations will attempt to assist you in resolving any legitimate complaint. This Limited Warranty gives you specific legal rights; you may have other rights, which vary from state to state. Liability for the terms of this Limited Warranty shall extend to the above center only, and not to Cottman Transmission Systems, LLC.
IF COLLECTION PROCEEDINGS ARE NECESSARY, CUSTOMER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR ATTORNEYS FEES, INTEREST AND COURT COSTS.
DIFFERENTIAL ASSEMBLY
ON FRONT WHEEL DRIVE VEHICLES IN WHICH THE TRANSMISSION AND DIFFERENTIAL ARE CONTAINED IN THE SAME HOUSING, THE DIFFERENTIAL WILL BE CHECKED. IF THE DIFFERENTIAL REQUIRES REPAIRS, THE REPAIRS WILL BE GUARANTEED. IF NO WORK IS REQUIRED, THE DIFFERENTIAL WILL NOT BE GUARANTEED.
ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS
FAULTY AUTOMOTIVE ELECTRONIC COMPONENTS SUCH AS COMPUTER CONTROLS, ACTUATORS, SENSORS AND EXTERNAL SOLENOIDS CAN CAUSE MALFUNCTIONS, DAMAGE AND FAILURE OF AN ELECTRONICALLY CONTROLLED TRANSMISSION. OUR LIMITED WARRANTY DOES NOT INCLUDE ANY ELECTRONIC COMPONENTS, CONTROLS, OR SENSORS, OR TRANSMISSION DAMAGE CAUSED BY THE FAILURE OF FAULTY ELECTRONIC COMPONENTS
