"We had a bad water pump on our 99 suburban and it was 4th of July weekend in Provo. After calling 3 other mechanics (who were all too busy or didn't answer) we found cougar tires. They were able to quickly find the part and install it same day. This was amazing because the other mechanics couldn't get to it until the middle of next week. On top of all that, cougar tires prices were less than the quote that we got from the other longstanding mechanic in the area. The manager was honest and prompt and the workers were great. They saved the day!!!"

They kept out appointment, quickly diagnosed our engine problem, and then clearly communicated all services and fees BEFORE doing them to give us a chance to think it over. I got a used car I bought checked out at another shop and they told me the brake pads were all but gone. I’m glad I brought it here to get the actual work done because they checked and the brakes pads were fine. They didn’t even charge me when no work needed to be done."

"They are super nice guys, and they seem to know what they are doing. They are just too busy to handle their business in a timely manner. They have had to keep my truck longer than originally quoted on two consecutive appointments now. Obviously, several days without my vehicle because they are too busy is a big downer. If they improved the turnaround time, or at least told me the right amount of time in the beginning I'd give them another star."

"In the past we have absolutely loved Cougar Tire and Auto and gone there for years. Unfortunately, because of our last experience we will not be going back. In April Cougar Auto and Tire replaced our tires. By the end of June we heard a clicking noise in our car (we had not done work on the car since the replacing the tires). Since we had just replaced our tires, we did not think there was any issue with them, and decided to bring in the car the next day to our dealership since we already had an appointment for a recall. The dealership charged a really high fee to evaluate our car and said that one tire was about to fall off, and all of the other lug nuts were loose--nothing else was wrong with the car. I approached the manager at Cougar Tire and Auto and explained our circumstances to see if we could get refunded for the amount. He understandably said that the dealership charged too much, but refused to compensate us in any way (even a lesser amount) saying he would have tightened our tires for free, and that he was not going to pay for something that he would have done for free, even though we would have never needed the car evaluated if there weren't issues with the tire. In response to the owner, I was not specific enough. In April we replaced the tires, the owner recommended that we get the lug nuts fixed, but didn't have the parts to do that, we came in May to finish the job and I was charged 146 dollars for the job. I know that this was not in your system, but am happy to show you my credit card statement, showing you that we paid for this service, so that you can correct your records."
