About Bay Star Auto Care

We are a complete auto care center with over 20 years experience servicing cars of makes and models! We pride ourselves in offering unparallelled quality repair services combined with the highest standard of customer care. We offer a massive variety of automotive services including: general auto repair: engine and transmission, scheduled maintenance service, fuel injection service, transmission service, brakes, computer diagnoses, tune ups, electrical service, A/C service and wheel alignment, plus many others. We also offer smog checks at our Gold Shield certified test center. We offer free vehicle diagnostics with all repairs done in our shop. History Established in 1997.

Bay Star Auto was established in 1997 in Union City and works under the same ownership of Gary Singh and continues. Our first location was by Bart Station, and then in March 2007 we moved to our new location at Atlantic Street, Union City. There are 5 certified technicians plus owner, who is also certified technician, ASE and licenced smog technician since 1997. We are member of Better Business Bureau since 1997 and AAA approved shop. We have one year guaranty for parts and labor.

"Owner Gary is unfriendly and rude. And it’s a quite expensive. The repair work and service itself is decent. If you are ok being talked down to and paying a bit extra, it’s a fair place."
"Wrong part. Overpriced. Simple heater issue (blower valve) and they replaced the wrong part - and then charged above for the part! Then it didn't work, so they diagnosed a full heating core replacement on my dime. No thanks. The owner was away though."

"This man is an absolute crook. He tried to charge me $70 for a smog for my suv when it states 49.95. Then when I ask him about it he says you are paying for the certificate as well... I get that part but the certificate is under $10... so where does the other $10 go? I called him out and he suggested I go somewhere else and you know what, I did. I have already contacted the BAR and BBB for unlawful ethics. I look forward to seeing his doors close so it can be replaced with an honest business. Do NOT go there, instead the Shell station on mission and willow is $10 less and has excellent customer service."
