Rebuilt Transmission (most vehicles): NOTE: Cars, trucks & vans with a manufacturer's rated capacity of one ton and under receive a 36/50 (US) or 36/80 (Canada) warranty. EXCEPTIONS: vehicles with manual transmissions, vehicles over one ton, RV's, police/fire/emergency vehicles, vehicles used as/for rentals, taxis, limousine, snow plowing, commercial towing or "high rail" applications (modified for use on RR tracks). These exception type vehicles receive a 12/12 (US) or 12/20 (Canada) warranty. You can identify the carrying capacity by the VIN. On domestic vehicles, the vehicle is eligible for the 36/50 (US) or 36/80 (Canada) warranty if the 6th digit of the VIN is 3 or less.

"We had an issue with my son's 2002 Toyota Tacoma 4WD truck in which the clutch was not engaging and it was not driveable. We took it to a shop in town and they indicated that it was the transmission. It was going to cost a significant amount of money and likely we would have to get a salvage transmission as there weren't many manual transmissions for this truck left. We brought the truck to AAMCO for a second opinion and worked with Mike. Mike let us know that the 4WD shifter had been accidentally bumped to neutral and there were no issues with the truck. I wanted to commend Mike for his professionalism and integrity as they saved us a significant amount of money. Often auto repair businesses have a stigma of being shady or dishonest. Please know that this is definitely not the case with Mike and AAMCO."

"A couple of weeks ago I submitted a request online because I only get certain days off of work and I know it takes more than a day to look over a car so I made a request online two weeks ago for an appointment for the 7th. The email said that I would get a confirmation in a few days to confirm my appointment to make sure that the time would be available it's now two weeks later a day before my appointment I still have not received the email I called them can't get no one on the line. That's why I set up for the request for the appointment through their website and still have not been able to get my car looked at or even speak to someone I do not recommend this place if it's hard to even get in there I could imagine how it's going to be if my car was there and how long it would take to get it back and no one likes to answer the phone."
