Rebuilt Transmission (most vehicles): NOTE: Cars, trucks & vans with a manufacturer's rated capacity of one ton and under receive a 36/50 (US) or 36/80 (Canada) warranty. EXCEPTIONS: vehicles with manual transmissions, vehicles over one ton, RV's, police/fire/emergency vehicles, vehicles used as/for rentals, taxis, limousine, snow plowing, commercial towing or "high rail" applications (modified for use on RR tracks). These exception type vehicles receive a 12/12 (US) or 12/20 (Canada) warranty. You can identify the carrying capacity by the VIN. On domestic vehicles, the vehicle is eligible for the 36/50 (US) or 36/80 (Canada) warranty if the 6th digit of the VIN is 3 or less.

"Monday I brought in my car. No one At AAMCO showed up for work because it snowed. I was convinced by the man on the phone that It would be easier for them to replace my trans, rather than to repair it. If repaired it would take along time and work, and they would not be able to get to it because the guy that drops and checks the trans is not here and they don't know when he will be back. It is going to cost close to $2000 for rebuilt. But then it will get done sooner. I felt forced to agree to a rebuilt trans. Suddenly Friday the car was ready. This is because they wanted to take Saturday off and were going to be closed. I was told that I must return in 2 weeks to check for leaks. Now I am not a mechanic, but I wonder if I got a rebuilt trans or did they just repair it to make extra money. Wed March 22, I made an appointment to bring it in on Saturday March 25, 2017. 8 am.This is 2 weeks later like I was told had to be done. Just to check for a leak. Sounds like it should not take long. SO I show up Saturday for the appointment and I'm told that they are to busy today and they don't know who made the appointment but I should call later this week for maybe another appointment. WHAT I am Pissed. work all week Spent $2000 I don't have and I show up on early my day off. Only to be treated like I'm troubling them. WOW I see now this PLACE WAS A BIG BIG MISTAKE. BAD BUISNESS!"

"It is with enthusiasm that I recommend that you take your car to this AAMCO location for needed service or standard maintenance. My experience with the new manager, Mike, has been absolutely nothing but positive. To be honest, the previous manager of the same name was somewhat sketchy, but since the new Mike has taken over things have only improved. He has been completely up front with my wife and I about our cars, which are both over 100,000 miles. Moreover, he has been MORE THAN FAIR when it comes to pricing, and I don't feel the dread of an impending huge bill when I take my '99 Honda here. The mechanics and technicians are very knowledgeable and thorough when you describe your concerns, and I have always left feeling like my car was well taken care of. They are even completing some much needed work on the office area, which is long overdue and much appreciated. I have not had a problem with either getting an appointment or with getting the work done in an efficient manner. Honesty, reliability, and fairness are all qualities that I've experienced since interacting with Mike, and I will absolutely continue to take my current and future vehicles to this service station for both maintenance and repair. I suggest you do the same."
"My experience with Mike and Paul at AAMCO was 5 star. After breaking down on a Sunday in Chicago while trying to move my son out of his dorm and back to our home in another state, I had one bad experience after another. After being towed to one repair shop and told I needed a new transmission, the following morning I contacted Mike at AAMCO about the work, and he had the car towed to their shop. From that point on, everything was all good. Not only did they quickly figure out that it didn't need a new transmission, but had a broken axle, they ordered the part right away and were able to get us on the ride home that afternoon. They were honest, efficient and great to work with. I would highly recommend them."
