Rebuilt Transmission (most vehicles): NOTE: Cars, trucks & vans with a manufacturer's rated capacity of one ton and under receive a 36/50 (US) or 36/80 (Canada) warranty. EXCEPTIONS: vehicles with manual transmissions, vehicles over one ton, RV's, police/fire/emergency vehicles, vehicles used as/for rentals, taxis, limousine, snow plowing, commercial towing or "high rail" applications (modified for use on RR tracks). These exception type vehicles receive a 12/12 (US) or 12/20 (Canada) warranty. You can identify the carrying capacity by the VIN. On domestic vehicles, the vehicle is eligible for the 36/50 (US) or 36/80 (Canada) warranty if the 6th digit of the VIN is 3 or less.

"I am new to Arizona and was looking for a smaller business when my check engine light came on. I did some research and found Carl's, read the reviews.... Some I know for a fact now were probably from some confused overly sensitive people. I made an appointment and it was not the diagnosis I wanted but it was what I thought it would be (at a VERY reasonable price). I spoke with Carl the entire time and he was completely honest and kind (as well as the wonderful people that also work there). I will continue to go to Carl's as long as I am in Arizona even though he is in Glendale and I live in Gilbert. If you are looking for an honest place I highly recommend Carl's Car Care! Hope this is helpful to anyone that might find themselves in the same situation I was in."

I was okay to pay the fee, but I was delighted that they just charged for the part and coolant refill. It's that kind of treatment that made me sad I couldn't come back when my car broke down in an unrelated way later, as it was too far away. I recommend this place."
"Carl and the other people at Carl's Car Care have so much integrity. Another mechanic told me a belt was breaking in my car and that it needed replaced. I asked Carl to do it (because he is much more affordable) and he told me there was nothing wrong with the belt. He could have replaced it anyways and I would have never known, but instead, he saved me over $200 and didn't make any himself. He had even special ordered the part. He is very honest and looks after the customers here. Everyone I have talked to LOVES Carla Car Care and js always pleased. They're also very quick and efficient."
"Been having problems with my dashboard lights going off and on and gauges going down to zero while I'm driving (very scary when on the highway over 60mph), so I called this place because I saw all the good reviews. But when I called I was very surprised to be having a conversation with someone who had a rude tone of voice the whole time and didn't seem to be interested in trying to help me at all. He (presumably Carl) told me he couldn't tell me anything unless it was happening all the time and could guarantee that it would happen while it was in their shop, which since this is happening to me intermittently I can't say that it would. When I started to explain the behavior of the car and asked if this does start happening consistently and end up taking it in later, what kind of labor and cost I may be looking at to go behind the dash to look at wires, he got very annoyed and gave no answer. Wouldn't even give me a rough idea or ballpark figure of what he charges to do that type of work. I understand that he was trying to be honest about them not knowing what the issue is, but since he had a rude tone of voice the whole time (even the very first words he spoke) and then wasn't willing to give me ANY sort of ideas/costs, it left me feeling like maybe there's someone else who could at least give me some ideas of what it could be and what their costs are for the different types of work and would do so in a friendlier tone. Hard to find good customer service."
