Rebuilt Transmission (most vehicles): NOTE: Cars, trucks & vans with a manufacturer's rated capacity of one ton and under receive a 36/50 (US) or 36/80 (Canada) warranty. EXCEPTIONS: vehicles with manual transmissions, vehicles over one ton, RV's, police/fire/emergency vehicles, vehicles used as/for rentals, taxis, limousine, snow plowing, commercial towing or "high rail" applications (modified for use on RR tracks). These exception type vehicles receive a 12/12 (US) or 12/20 (Canada) warranty. You can identify the carrying capacity by the VIN. On domestic vehicles, the vehicle is eligible for the 36/50 (US) or 36/80 (Canada) warranty if the 6th digit of the VIN is 3 or less.

"These people do not honor their quotes and they make excuses. I was quoted $690 to get my rear main seal replaced but ended up being charged $894. The owner tried to say that was taxes and the other lady kept coming up with excuses. Come to find out even tho we kept on contact with them they didn't tell us they were having a problem dropping the transmission. They charged almost $760 in labor because they couldn't get it done on the time they quoted. All the excuses the lady told us they never said one word about over the phone when we talked to them. When questioned the manager resorted to name calling because they were called out for not honoring HIS quote. Then turned around and said the rear main seal wasn't our problem... Then why would they replace it? If that wasn't the problem shouldn't they have said this is your problem we would recommend doing this instead? This place is just a rip off and is not worth the headache! I will NEVER recommend them and will never take another vehical to them again."

This is definitely not a "for profit shop" They are there for the customer, not to rip every last penny from you. "I never knew that Aamco did more than transmissions. My car wouldnt start when i went to leave amscot across the street from aamco on cortez. lucky for me there was aamco across the street. i ran over to find out if someone could come jump me "assuming that might be a good place to start since my car wasn't getting any juice" Ian the owner and his jump box came and assisted me. we got the car to start. they did a diagnostic to let me know what the issue was for FREE!!! then my problem was a little more than i had in the bank so they offered me financing options which was a blessing so i wanted to take a second to give a shout out to my new friends at aamco!!! and now that im up and mobile again i will stop in to say hi soon!!!"
