"I have been taking my cars to AAMCO in East Brunswick since it opened. I have always found the service to be very accurate, affordable and my repairs are done right. The staff is very nice. They explain the issues with my car in a clear, understandable fashion so I know I am making good, well informed decisions. Most recently my car was making a weird noise when turning. I was pretty certain it was the bearings and the repair was going to be expensive. AAMCO identified the issues as an adjustment to my brakes. Boy was I relieved. I highly recommend AAMCO, especially the East Brunswick AAMCO to anyone needing any type of car service."
"AAMCO Transmissions & Total Car Care is absolutely my to-go facility whenever I need my cars serviced. Their staff performs quality work. Maintenance services have been efficient, repair services have been successful upon the first attempt, etc. Beyond their work, their customer care is equally praise-worthy. Every staff member is professional, attentive, and thorough. They not only take the time to listen to your concerns and requests, but actually act on them. This particularly applies to their owner, Peter, who runs a very streamlined facility. I cannot recommend the East Brunswick location enough."
"Great location and a beautiful place. Peter and Joe always give me options and look for ways to save me money. Again they were half the price of the dealer and they gave me a great no interest payment plan with a year to pay. The crew is top shelf and they make me feel like family."
"I highly recommend AAMCO Transmissions & total Car Care to anyone looking for any type of transmission work or auto repair. Peter was very knowledgeable, Profssional and provided exceptional auto service at a fair price on time. Next time I need service on my Nissan I will return to this shop for sure. It's hard to find an honest shop these days so when I find a great, honest, expert shop like this I recommend it to all of my friends."
"Don't go here. Save yourself a headache, money and time in court. I brought my car in to AAMCO back in November for what I was told would be a free diagnostic because the check engine light was on and I needed to pass inspection. The next day I get a phone call with what was wrong with my car. I told them that I didn't have money for that kind of repair at the moment and I would like to come get my keys so I could park it in my driveway and call around to other mechanics or see if I knew anyone that could do the work. "Well, we already took the car apart and it'll be $800 to put it back together even if we don't fix anything" Fine. Fix the car. Error after error. A week turned into two weeks, one time the wrong part came in, the next extension in time the part they PUT in the car turned out to be a bad solenoid. Eventually, about three weeks later the car was "done" $1,000 just to get my keys back, THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WAS STILL ON! Followed by a $400 payment in cash, followed by them trying to pull money out of my account both times on MONDAY's when they were aware that I was paid on Thursdays. Then someone that works with or for AAMCO contacted me because I hadn't made a payment in a few weeks So he said that if I went in and made another $400 payment he would have them look at the check engine light. I did, they didn't look at the car. It gets better, they filed theft of services charges at the police department. So I had to go all the way back to NJ to go to court for it since I had moved at the end of March. Which they didn't bother to show up for. I would highly recommend not going here, and if you do and you pay anything in cash make sure they give you a proper receipt, not anything written down on the back of their business card."
