"Huge shout out to David for restoring my faith and helping me out with my car. I have been taking my car to other shops and have not been satisfied with their work. I should have just brought my car here in the first place. He had it fixed and ready to go in less than an hour. Thanks again :)"
"I have been having AC issues for 3 months, blowing hot air and cold and hot again.. it was so frustrating for me. different mechanics diagnosis my AC system saying I needed a new compressor ($700), new thermostat($200), etc... As a women going to these mechanic I realized these mechanics were clearly taking me for "dumb" and trying to rip me off. My sister referred me to Dave at AAMCO and I decided to give him a try and see what he would say about my failing AC.. I took my car to Dave and he immediately found what's wrong while also telling me my compressor is fine! And I just needed a vaulve replacement and new vent.. he was so sweet and told me to call at anytime with any questions.. and to hear that from a mechanic was quite refreshing!! Great customer service, he really took care of my car, my AC is blowing so cold now and I am so happy that I took my car to AAMCO! Thank you Dave!"
"I decided on this place because it was close to home, the reviews were good and it was a chain so I figure they had a reputation to uphold. David, the man I spoke with was nice and inviting. Despite these pleasantries, they really, really, really over estimated my repairs. He basically told me that my car was in the beginning of transmission failure. I know enough about cats to know that my car and others Chryslers of the time had trsnny issues. He gave me a wuote of minimum $1100. He went on the explain the clutch and other components and how they worked. If I didn't know a thing about cars, I wouldn't left my car there, had them fix it and be done with it. I got 2 more estimates and they were both wayyyy lower than AAMCO. I went to Adolph's in Glendale and my repairs were done in a few hours. I paid 600 versus 1100 and my runs better than before."
"The owner is really nice and is very helpful. Really recommend this place."
"Sometime in March, I took my Aviator to AAMCO for a blinking check engine and it smell like gas. Dave said it needed a "comprehensive" tune-up. Ok, $420😡 So.. 2 days later the check engine light starts to blink again, not to mention it still smell like gas. So I call Dave, He wanted to assure me that it left the shop in better condition then whenI brought it in and implied that there was something else wrong with it but he will still check it. Ok, what ever! He looks at it and explains the same thing he was suppose to fix the first time. ok.. 4 hours later I leave. Well... Needless to say my check engine light came back on and is still blinking and my vehicle smells like gasoline. A friend of mine checked it and turns out not all spark plugs were changed and theres a gas leak. I took it to Firestone and the gentleman there said a blinking check engine light is a serious warningand the vehicle should not be used! He noticed the smell of gasoline instantly. He also mentioned how some codes had been deleted, and suggested this was done to turn off the check engine light. WOW😡😡😠 as a single mom of two this was just so hard to hear. I trusted Dave and I feel robbed and not important at all! When I called him to see if we can still work something out he showed no interest and simply said if not all spark plugs need to be changed then theres not reason to change them. thats IT! Didn't offer to take another look or anything. i will not be returning there ever again. i should've never ignored the reviews or the fact that another previous customer is taking him to court. God Bless. Still wish him the best of luck."
