Rebuilt Transmission (most vehicles): NOTE: Cars, trucks & vans with a manufacturer's rated capacity of one ton and under receive a 36/50 (US) or 36/80 (Canada) warranty. EXCEPTIONS: vehicles with manual transmissions, vehicles over one ton, RV's, police/fire/emergency vehicles, vehicles used as/for rentals, taxis, limousine, snow plowing, commercial towing or "high rail" applications (modified for use on RR tracks). These exception type vehicles receive a 12/12 (US) or 12/20 (Canada) warranty. You can identify the carrying capacity by the VIN. On domestic vehicles, the vehicle is eligible for the 36/50 (US) or 36/80 (Canada) warranty if the 6th digit of the VIN is 3 or less.

"We have a 2008 Buick Enclave. I would never recommend this AAMCO dealer to anyone with a Buick Enclave. We paid $4000 to have our car repaired less than three years ago. The experience was horrible. It turns out the repair didn't last three years. I remember the first time they said the car was fixed, we went to pick it up and immediately noticed the steering was completely off-center. It was pointed in the 8:00 position while the front wheels were straight ahead. When I pointed out this obvious mistake to the mechanic, I was told that it was “normal.” I had to speak to the manager in order to find someone to agree that the steering wheel was not aligned. I was amazed. So, we had to leave the car there again which resulted in more inconvenience (they already took over two weeks to repair it). My wife and I really wish we would have just had the dealership do the repair. Our mistake. Regarding our 2008 Buick Enclave, this dealer did not fix it correctly and did not immediately honor their warranty. I do not recommend this dealer to anyone. Less than three years ago, we paid this dealer $4000 to rebuild our transmission and, thankfully, received a three year warranty. During a regular service, our dealership diagnosed our Enclave as having transmission issues. When we contacted this AAMCO dealer, the owner’s son, CJ, tried everything to avoid honoring his warranty. He began by lying about an annual inspection requirement in order for the warranty to be effective. Not true. Then, he misdiagnosed our vehicle saying it was an engine problem (that I could pay him $700 to fix). We believed he was lying, so we took our vehicle to another AAMCO dealer and paid to have it diagnosed again. Unwittingly, they confirmed our Buick dealer’s diagnosis that it was a transmission issue. CJ lied again – confirmed. So glad for the honest AAMCO dealer down the street."
"The only reason this review doesn't get a 1 star is the manager there CJ!!! He is awesome! I took my wife's car he diagnosed it and explained in detail what it was. He was GREAT! But the OWNER there is terrible! Completely rude! and to top it all off, nasty! He asked if we want anything to drink, we politely declined he then proceeded to grab a water from the holder. a few of them fell to the floor and without even thinking, he laughed and picked them up and put them right back in the holder on the wall. GROSS! My wife asked him if he was going to throw those cups away since they hit the floor. He looked at her like she was crazy and replied "Why?" then shrugged and walked off.. My advice to anyone who comes here. Ask for CJ! If he's not there just LEAVE cause that owner is RUDE and disgusting"
"I recently went into my local Aamco station to get my brakes fixed. I complained about squealing of the brakes as well as loss of braking system while driving. I paid almost $300 and was told I need a new pads and a cleaning of the back brake system. Upon leaving I noticed squealing still in my brakes and called them when I returned home. I was told that they must have forgotten a gel and to please stop by the next day. Upon driving my car the next day I noticed a vibration in my steering wheel when I hit 55 when I brought the car back into Aamco I was told that I needed a new rim and new tires and that would stop the vibration. I went the next day to purchase a new rim and new tires but still the vibration was there. I proceeded to call Aamco and let them know this new development in my car. The gentleman was very rude when I called and told me to bring it back in and they would look at it again. I did not trust Aamco to fix the issues they seem to have caused so I brought it to my local Midas dealer. Midas took a look at my car and told me the brake pads put in by Aamco or smaller than what I needed they also informed me that I needed new rotors and that this should have been taken care of before the new pads have been put on. They also informed me that my back brake system needed to be cleaned when I told them that Aamco had already charged me for cleaning on my back brake system they laughed and said there's no way that any work was done back here. Midas provided me with a picture of the brakes that were put on by Aamco compared to the brakes put on by Midas. They were at least a quarter inch smaller. I the Aamco pads and took them to the Chevy dealership who has also told me they are not the proper size for my car and that one could have easily fallen off while driving. I am asking for a full refund of services not rendered correctly or in the case of the cleaning of my back brakes not at all, but I have not been able to find restitution with my local Aamco dealer. I'm shocked that a company with the reputation of Aamco would do this to one of their customers."
"Went in to ask for a free a.c. inspection as advertised online only to be told they don't do them during the summer. WHAT!? If anything that should be the time you offer a free a.c. inspection to increase business. Very dissapointing!"
"CJ was great and had excellent customer service and their summer special AC repair service was $60 cheaper than Valvoline. The only negative is that after my vehicle was serviced several indicators came up on my dash and they were unable to explain why. Fortunately they were for real unrelated issues that my car wasnt previously telling me about I ended up taking it to the toyota service center and having to pay nearly 3k in repairs. Better than it breaking down though."
