"Best first experience ever! I was referred to this mechanic shop by someone who pays cash for junk cars. My car was at another mechanic shop that wanted to charge me almost $800 to repair the issue to make it run again. I contacted this shop and they said they were willing to look over the car for free since they could not make a definite diagnosis from the notes I sent from other dealership to help me out and can probably fix it for less and also offer financing. I had my car towed to their shop and they looked over EVERYTHING to tell me if it was worth fixing the car or just junking it seeing as I was not going to get much for it in good shape anyways. They were able to fix the original radiator issue for a couple hundred dollars cheaper than the other place was going to charge me and then they also told me everything else that was needing to be fixed or repaired soon and how much it would cost. These people have been very helpful and understanding because it was a hot mess to get the car there in the first place (thanks to a towing company from my insurance and other mechanic shop) and very patient. I decided to junk the car and am buying a new one and will be bringing it to this shop to have everything looked over after driving off the lot and from now on this place will be our go to mechanics. I am glad I was referred to them. They gave me their time and expertise with nothing in return (well they did gain another new satisfied customer!) P.S. absolutely NO attitude from any of the staff whatsoever either."

"Our daughter bought a pickup truck from a small dealer in Lawrence. She had it looked at by another independent auto shop in Lawrence prior to the purchase which identified a few items to be addressed. The dealer referred us to AAMCO in Olathe (since that was close to where we lived). Jeff at AAMCO looked the Tacoma over and noticed a few other things that had not been noticed previously, like a missing stabilizer bar! Jeff took us out to the truck and made sure we could see each item that needed care and explained things very well. Though he did not charge anything for the very thorough check, Jeff at AAMCO won our trust for future work and referrals!
