Rebuilt Transmission (most vehicles): NOTE: Cars, trucks & vans with a manufacturer's rated capacity of one ton and under receive a 36/50 (US) or 36/80 (Canada) warranty. EXCEPTIONS: vehicles with manual transmissions, vehicles over one ton, RV's, police/fire/emergency vehicles, vehicles used as/for rentals, taxis, limousine, snow plowing, commercial towing or "high rail" applications (modified for use on RR tracks). These exception type vehicles receive a 12/12 (US) or 12/20 (Canada) warranty. You can identify the carrying capacity by the VIN. On domestic vehicles, the vehicle is eligible for the 36/50 (US) or 36/80 (Canada) warranty if the 6th digit of the VIN is 3 or less.

"All I can say is I want to become a transmission repairman.
Seriously though, it's never a good thing when you need to visit one of these places. 400-500? yeah, right.. consider yourself lucky if you pay $2k.
Being said, what you can expect are true experts here. They are looking to take care of you and do the right thing. I brought in a Tacoma with 220k miles on it. I did my homework and was expecting $4-$5k. They did a thoral analysis and final bill came to 1/2 of this. Once analyzed, they gave me several options and solid details along the way.
What you won't get is speed. These guys work 8 -5. They set up their work for the next week and get it done. You may have to call them a couple of times as I found they weren't very good at calling you back (except when it's time to pay). If you require a full re-build, expect to have it done by the middle to end of the next week.
But overall, what I'm saying, is they are excellent at what they do. Their work demands a high price, and that they will get. They don't need your business, so I feel confident they are not their to rip you off. They will do the right thing."

"Avoid this place!!!!! They will rip you off, start by telling you 1 price then fix your car and a completely different price! Also very slow service! For the prices and time you have to wait you will be better of going to a car dealership!!!!!"
