"Very good service..Mr Zary went above and beyond the call of duty to help me get back on the road and while i was waiting for my vehicle i noticed how he explained to the other customers what was and was not required when he just as easily could've sold/told them anything to make the sale but he was honest which to me showed integrity on his part. I highly recommend this shop for your auto repair needs."
"I had a 2000 Jeep wrangler. It was having transmission problems. I checked around and found it was going to be very expensive to fix. I then checked with Zary at AAMCO and he got me a very fair price plus a warranty that is good nationwide. Most of the Transmission places you deal with only have one or two shops. AAMCO has over 600 that gave me a piece of mind and I went with Zary for my repairs. He had the vehicle towed for me and had it back to me in a very timely manner.. He kept me informed and it was a painless project."
"I've been taking my cars to this shop for 6 years. No matter the job, they've never let me down. I never even get an oil change anywhere else. I trust Zary and his team to be thorough, honest, and fair (generous, even!) every time. They do a fantastic job, and I highly recommend them."
"Volvo s40 transmission problem not diagnosed correctly the vehicle was going into limp mode while driving until you restarted the car. Now, $1250 dollars later still the same problem, and my vehicle hard downshifts from 3rd to 2nd, something that was not so before. I took it here for a valve body replacement, trusted the owner Zarry, when he said the valve body should be the issue. After he checked it out, stated the fluid looked OK, and had no metal shavings. I was told internally the transmission should be OK and valve body should fix the issue. So instead of replacing the transmission with a used lower mileage one, which I could have done for around the same price, I did the valve body job because I trusted the owners expertise. As soon I left around 5:00pm when they did the first valve body swap, yes they had to do it twice, the car was downshifting hard. I knew the mechanic that test drove it before I got it back knew it was doing that, no way in the world you would not notice it, but not a word was mentioned to me before they sent me on my way. I Called the next day to report the issue, and was told I had to drive it 500 miles before another one could be put on. Fair enough, I understand it takes the computer some time to adjust to the new valve body. So 500 miles later same issue back to Aamco again, new valve body swapped. We have the same problem again hard downshifts the owner stated the TCM may need to be reprogrammed. I was taken back, since he never mentioned this the first time, which it was clearly stated on his paper work that came with the rebuilt valve body he bought, well on my dime that is. So my wife and I leave it there on Wednesday, because the owner says he will call Volvo and see if he can have a technician come out to program the TCM, and will call me the next day to let me know the cost. I did not hear from him the rest of the week. I understand that I am not the only customer, but at least call an give me a update. No call on Monday, I called Tuesday, and he still has not checked with Volvo. I call on Wednesday telling him I am just going to drive over to pick the car up. He tells me to give him two hours, so he can remove the battery cables and see if it resets itself. Really, after having it a week he wants to take the battery cables off now. Once I arrive at the shop he says that the battery cable removal didn't help and it will cost $165 for the reprogram from Volvo, but it probably won't fix it, and he said personally he would drive it like that!! He told me this time the fluid is dirty looking, even though the fluid was OK the first time it was checked according to him, and it needs a rebuild for 3000-4000 dollars, I was in disbelieve. So on my way home after picking my car up, we have the new hard downshifts still, and you guessed it, limp mode comes back again! Future customers do your due diligence before going to this Aamco."
"They told me I had an internal problem with my transmission and it would be 2800 to fix. They hadn't even done the diagnostic check yet. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. Very unprofessional."
