Rebuilt Transmission (most vehicles): NOTE: Cars, trucks & vans with a manufacturer's rated capacity of one ton and under receive a 36/50 (US) or 36/80 (Canada) warranty. EXCEPTIONS: vehicles with manual transmissions, vehicles over one ton, RV's, police/fire/emergency vehicles, vehicles used as/for rentals, taxis, limousine, snow plowing, commercial towing or "high rail" applications (modified for use on RR tracks). These exception type vehicles receive a 12/12 (US) or 12/20 (Canada) warranty. You can identify the carrying capacity by the VIN. On domestic vehicles, the vehicle is eligible for the 36/50 (US) or 36/80 (Canada) warranty if the 6th digit of the VIN is 3 or less.

"Recently my daughter's Toyota had a series transmission and clutch problem. As a father living on the mainland I was really concerned that I was 3000 miles away from being able to help.
I want to give a huge thank you to Mike and the guys at Aamco, they very quickly had her up and running much to my relief and at a very fair price.
Highly recommend this company and I am told they do a lot more than transmissions.

"I brought my pickup to AAMCO for a repair quote on a transmission leak, and to investigate a whine noise in gear 3. They said an internal inspection was required to investigate the whine noise, and gave me a quote of $850 which I approved. Upon inspecting the transmission they recommended that I have the transmission replaced for about $4000. Due to the large cost, I opted to wait before replacing the transmission. I told them that I would come to pick up the truck and pay the $850 inspection charge, and they told me that my transmission was completely disassembled and that they would not put my vehicle back together unless I paid them an additional $1200 on top of the $850 inspection quote that I had already approved. The $1200 was just to put my vehicle back together, with no repairs being performed at all. I declined to pay the outrageous fee, and instead had my vehicle towed to a more ethical shop to have it put back together."

"My wife and I were eating at killer taco and afterward I checked the transmission fluid on the car because it was shifting very rough. a man came out from the Amco next door and offered to help and I describe the problem to him. He brought out a container and poured it in and said that that should help and he would not accept any money for his services and it did actually help quite a bit regarding the shifting. Fast-forward ahead about two-and-a-half to three months and one of our service vehicles in this case our blue GMC lost its transmission. I took it into them and they rebuilt it and had me back out on the road very quickly. After about two months I started experiencing some problems in the first gear and when I took it immediately back to them and describe the problem the same gentleman, his name is Ron, and apparently owns the shop said that he suspected one of the gears failed....he took it into the shop that day and had me back up and running in one day no BS..... just good old-fashioned business ethics. I think these guys do a fantastic job old school style and I would bring all of our service vehicles back to the same location"
