Rebuilt Transmission (most vehicles): NOTE: Cars, trucks & vans with a manufacturer's rated capacity of one ton and under receive a 36/50 (US) or 36/80 (Canada) warranty. EXCEPTIONS: vehicles with manual transmissions, vehicles over one ton, RV's, police/fire/emergency vehicles, vehicles used as/for rentals, taxis, limousine, snow plowing, commercial towing or "high rail" applications (modified for use on RR tracks). These exception type vehicles receive a 12/12 (US) or 12/20 (Canada) warranty. You can identify the carrying capacity by the VIN. On domestic vehicles, the vehicle is eligible for the 36/50 (US) or 36/80 (Canada) warranty if the 6th digit of the VIN is 3 or less.

"I the transmission of my Ford Explorer replaced by AAMCO. After about a year and a half I noticed some hard shifting. I brought my truck back to AAMCO and they said the transmission needed to be replaced. It took them a couple of days, some of that was waiting the replacement transmission to be shipped, and they replaced it under their warranty. It didn't cost me a dime. My trucks shifting smooth as silk now. These guys are great!"

"I have been visiting this location for years. Since I live in NYC, I cannot get my car inspected here, so I've been inconsistent in my patronage. But, I went in there at the end of June 2018 & Matthew greeted me with a smile & a good dose of understanding around my "elderly" car's age & state of being. These city & area streets are rough on a vehicle, indeed!
I had been experiencing extreme care from my VW dealer in Manhattan, but that relationship dried up when that person left for another dealership. So, when my car ran into issues for its annual inspection, the dealer hit me with an estimate into the thousands. Yes, I know the dealer is rarely the place to go for a deal...but, still...
Anyway, I brought the car to Matthew, and all the work was done well & for a fraction of the price that the dealer charged...and all in the same day.
I felt taken care of as opposed to how the dealer made me feel. So much so that I was able to go to the AAMCO in the Bronx & pass inspection in 20 minutes.

"Spent $3k to get transmission repaired and had a complete failure within 1,000 miles of the work being done. This shop couldn't reproduce a list of the parts that had been replaced and labor done without several calls and, finally, a visit to the shop. Follow up call to owner/operator of the shop produced no additional satisfaction. Reviews matter because it's the actual experience."

"I went for the transmission flush for my 2008 Nissan's CVT transmission as I had lot of trouble with CVT(Nissan's only answer was - REPLACE IT). I though to do a flush before spending $4000 in replacing it. Other shops could have easily done it and charge me $200 but folks at this place explained the con's of flush in my car's case . Due to recent issues with my car, I had contacted and visited at least 10+ mechanic shop(Including other AAMCO center) and everyone were just trying to find ways to get money from me but at this place, they spend 15-20 min explaining me possible issue which can happen if I do CVT flush and even did free diagnosis.
If you have transmission issue with your car, I will surely recommend these guys. Believe me, this was the only place I felt that I am not being cheated. Not because, they didn't change me anything but its about overall experience."
